Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Meridivault Family ("Meridivault," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Meridivault Family mobile application and related website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the Service:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email (or Apple relay email) you choose to share.
- Family and planning content you enter. This includes the tasks, checklists, calendar events, notes, budget figures, household name, and the names and email addresses of family members you invite. You control this content, and it is used only to provide the Service to your household.
- Location you provide. When you use the local resource finder, we use the ZIP code you type in to look up nearby businesses. We do not collect precise device location or GPS data.
- Purchase information. If you buy the one-time family unlock, the purchase is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Basic technical data. Like most apps, our systems may process limited technical information (such as request logs) needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To create and secure your account and sync your household's information across family members you invite.
- To look up local resources based on the ZIP code you enter.
- To process your one-time unlock purchase.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. Your information is shared with them only as needed to provide the Service:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Account creation and secure sign-in | Name, email, authentication data |
| Cloudflare | App hosting and database storage | All household content you enter |
| Google (Places API) | Finding nearby businesses in the resource finder | The ZIP code and category you search |
| Apple | App distribution, Sign in with Apple, and in-app purchase | Purchase confirmation; Apple ID sign-in data |
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. Searches sent to Google's Places API are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
How your family's information is shared
Meridivault Family is built around a private household. The content you enter is visible only to members of your household — the people you invite and who accept. We do not share your household content with anyone outside your household except the service providers listed above.
Data storage and security
Your information is stored in a Cloudflare database and is scoped to your household. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app, or by emailing us at support@meridivault.com. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information and household content, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, purchase records) by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@meridivault.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults coordinating family transitions and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
